Welcome to the next installment of the manifestation exercises.  Two weeks ago we posted the first of the Law of Attraction - Manifestation Exercise #1 - The Gratitude List from Janeen Clark.  That post taught us how to be grateful for everything and anything in your life.  This second manifestation exercise will look at how to prepave the results you want.

Enjoy!

By Janeen Clark

The Law of Attraction is the Law of the Universe that states that what you think about and focus on is what you bring into your life to experience.

While most people understand the concept of thinking positively of things they want to create down the line such as a great relationship, more money, successful career, dream house etc., they quite often don’t realize how powerful thinking, or pre-paving, if you will, can be used on a moment to moment basis to make their daily lives flow more effortlessly.

Too often they let subconscious negative thoughts about certain experiences rule their day, and as a result, end up with their days filled with ups and downs like a roller-coaster instead of smoothly like a flowing river.

For instance, do any of these thoughts sound familiar to you?

  • I hate going to the mall on a Saturday; it’s always so crowded and I can never find a parking space.
  • I can’t stand when I have to go to my dentists office; I always have to sit in the waiting room for at least two hours.
  • I hate going to the bank on my lunch hour; the line is always so long.
  • I don’t know why I shop in this store; they never have what I am looking for.
  • I have a ton of things to do today; I’ll never get them all done.
  • It’s horrible when it rains, my commute to work takes forever and I always get in late.

These are just a few of the thoughts that many people have on a daily basis that makes life far more bumpy than it needs to be.

Be it due to past experiences that they have had, or things they have heard from others, they subconsciously accept these ideas as foregone conclusions and sure enough by their belief in them, their day plays out exactly the way they expected them to. Filled with tension and turmoil.

The important thing to realize is that none of the statements above (or the ones you have yourself) are in fact true. And they do not have to play out the same old tired way. You have the power to create your day as smoothly as you want, you just need to be more aware of what you are thinking about.

This is where pre-paving comes in.

Pre-paving is where you mentally plan out your day to run smoothly as possible. When you step by step see things going easily and effortlessly at even the smallest of tasks.

The first thing you need to do is become aware of the negative thoughts that pop into your head automatically regarding any task you need to take on. In other words if you have an errand you normally believe is a pain in the butt to deal with, you need to take notice of that negative thought.

Then you need to realize that this negative thought is not set in stone, and the experience does not have to play out as it always has in the past. You have the ability to change the experience into anything you want to.

Finally you need to pre-pave what you would like to happen in your mind and know with surety that it will happen exactly that way.

For instance, last Halloween, time got away from me. I usually buy my son’s costume about a month in advance because he always seems to be into the “character” of the year and if I didn’t purchase it early enough there was a good chance I wouldn’t get it at all.

Sure enough, last year I didn’t make it out to get his costume until 2 days before Halloween. He wanted to be Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of The Caribbean and it was the hot costume of the year. When I had mentioned to people that I still hadn’t gotten it, they told me to forget about it. There was no way I was going to be able to get it at such a late date.

I had even been about to tell my son to come up with anther idea, when suddenly I realized Who says it has to be difficult or impossible to find it? I create my own reality. So I choose to create that I find it quite easily. Actually I decide to find it in the first store I look. As I went through the rest of my day at work I just kept envisioning that I would find it effortlessly in the first store that I looked in, even thought I wasn’t even sure what store I was going to go to.

After work I decided to drive to a Party Place store that went crazy with costumes at Halloween time, figuring that was my best bet. On the way there however, I saw a sign advertising that Kmart was having a 40% off Halloween sale and had a sudden urge to turn into their lot. Kmart had not even entered my mind as a costume place option.

Sure enough I found the entire costume there. The costume in the bag in his size; even the wig, hat and sword that was sold separately. And I got it for 40% off! And I only had to travel half the distance! Oh I love those thrill bumps when things like that happen!

Ever since then, I try to remember to pre-pave how I want my day to go on almost a daily basis.

I picture easy and close parking spaces to the stores I need to visit. I picture short lines that move smoothly. I envision smooth working days and commutes to wherever I am going.

It has made an amazing difference in how much calmer I feel all during the day and how much more effective I have become in getting much more done in much less time.

So start pre-paving your day today. Write out or envision exactly how you want your day to go, how you want your day at work to be, how easy you want your commute to be, how easily your errands will be run. How cooperative your kids or spouse are going to be. How effortless your presentation at work; you get the idea.

You will be amazed at how this works. Because the more often you do it, the more often it works. The more often it works, the easier you believe it will work. The more you believe that it will work, the more often you will want to do it.

Start creating the peaceful, easy-going life you crave. By pre-planning it one step at a time.

Happy Creating!

A Wonderful Free Lunch

November 26, 2008 by cyf

I’m reading a great book called the Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t which states that you should celebrate and record how the law of attraction is working for you.  Now within this book the author Michael J. Losier has said that by recording and celebrating the law of attraction you will bring more of what you want into you life.  So this is my daily celebration.

One of my wants is to have more joy, positive situations and gifts to come into my life.  So today I was invited to attend a colleagues home for lunch along with my department.  It was a fantastic affair and I really wasn’t expecting anything as grand as what we received.  We were greeted with a hostess who took our coats and drink orders and after chatting with our host, we were seated at an elaborately spread fit for a formal affair.  We were served a three course meal of butternut soup, chicken with potatoes and salad and desert of a flourless cake.  This was wonderful as none of us expected such an affair.

I was thankful to receive this wonderful free lunch and know that the law of attraction will bring many more unextedly wonderful opportunities my way.

My Gratitude Journal

Within my gratitude journal, I give gratitude for small things. Living in the space of gratitude is living in the moment of now. I find that it is easier to say thank you when things are OK and less so when things are not OK. However, I realize that you don’t have to be happy when you give thanks. Whenever I give gratitude, it changes my life. The words thank you open a space to create abundance and I no longer see myself separated from my good when things are not OK. I allow good things to happen by giving thanks even in bad times.

Today, I give gratitude for not having sufficient money in my bank book to pay my bills. I give gratitude for not having the job I desire. I give gratitude for not having enough gas in my car to go to work. I give gratitude for feeling the rain on my face. I give gratitude for having my hearing to enjoy a beautiful song. I give gratitude to have awareness and creativity to express myself.

Time to Reclaim the Power of Positive Thinking

Clay Nelson Life Balance: Reclaim the Power of Positive Thinking\nBy Clay Nelson, Life Balance

Now is a great time to take control of your life, ditch the negatives and set a better tone for the new year.

Now that the election dust has settled, reality has set in — the reality that we still have the same issues we had before the election. Nothing has changed, life goes on as usual, and to top it off, the holidays are quickly approaching, which bring a host of other realities, such as “have-tos,” “don’t wannas” and “How am I going to pay for that?”

Before the holidays take you over, you may want to consider this question: How can I be more positive and powerful — all of the time — no matter what is behind me or in front of me?

We’ve all heard in recent weeks about what our elected officials need to be held accountable for, and now it is time for us to look inward and get into action ourselves. That is not to say that we’ve all been doing nothing, but we can be even more productive and active. With the new year around the corner, there is no better time than now to take ourselves on.

How, you ask?

Step 1: Reclaim Your Power

Without question, we are entering the end of a year that has been filled with a lot of negativity, and our fixation on our missed goals, the fact that our 401(k)s have fallen way short or that our bank accounts aren’t nearly as far ahead as we thought they would be only compounds that negativity. Eventually, we get so filled with negativity that we can’t see any of the positives.

If we want to get back to living powerfully and to set the tone for a great new year, we’ve got to ditch the negatives and get present to the positives by reflecting on where we’ve been and how great we are.

Sit down in a quiet space with your significant other and write down all the things each of you has accomplished since Jan. 1. Include personal, business, health, financial, recreation, communication, relationships and other accomplishments. Give yourself credit for the difference you’ve made.

When we focus on the good we do and the goals we have achieved, we empower ourselves and instantly create a new way of thinking, which creates a new perspective on being in action and what we are capable of achieving.

Step 2: Have a Plan

Create a plan for what you want to accomplish in the remaining weeks of this year and into the new year. Only you have a say in how your life turns out, and if you don’t have a written plan that verbalizes what that is, chances are that it won’t happen and negativity will take you over every time.

Step 3: Be Committed

Making the commitment to be more powerful boils down to this: You choose every day, every minute, whether to use your power positively. You can allow fear to run your life, or you can choose to act consistent with your power, and head toward your goals and commitments with ease and speed — no matter what the world is throwing at you.

Step 4: Build Your Team

To be as powerful as you can be, you need a team: a team of people who support you, a team of people who know what you want, a team of people who you are willing to ask to hold you accountable, a team of people who aren’t afraid to hold you accountable. Remember: If you could get to where you are going by yourself, you’d be there already.

Step 5: Be Unstoppable

Never give up, never give up and never give up. If your plan isn’t working, change it, and if your plan still doesn’t work, change it again.

Many of us thought that if we could just get through the election that life would be better, that we wouldn’t be so distracted. But distractions are still everywhere, in every shape and size. There always have been, and there always will be.

Life never gives us a break. There will always be more “stuff” waiting, but the key to not getting caught up in negativity and instead being powerful is to choose to stay present to your power, live from your plan and be unstoppable everywhere and all of the time.

You can choose to live in a cave and be down in the dumps and negative, but if you do, you’ll never truly know your potential because you won’t have your head up high enough to see what the possibilities are.

My challenges to you as we enter the last weeks of this year are to:

» Get present to your power.

» Use your power wisely.

» Know what you want.

» Have a plan for getting what you want.

» Always teach others how to use their power wisely, too.

I am giving gratitude for something that is dying within me because I am making room for the new birth that is coming out of me. This is a new moment to begin again. I rise high in gratitude because something good, full of love is evolving. I give gratitude for letting go. I give gratitude for welcoming the new. I give gratitude for these three words: RESOLVE, DISSSOLVE AND EVOLVE. I give gratitude for the new me that is EVOLVING.

Giving Gratitude of Thanks to People who come into my Life

Just this morning someone sent me this piece under the heading that someone comes into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Although it is a new version only with accompanying pictures, I have had a copy for many, many years. I thought that it was so interesting that I should receive a copy again while I am at this stage of my life. It is only fiting that I share it with others.

Look back positively and realize that people do come into your life for a reason, a season or a life time and remember that you are also responsible for the type of relationships that you create with the people when you come into their life.

Ashe

You never know when your guardian angel will be there for you so I have to try…

I am sending this to you to see how many actually read their e- mail
Your response will be interesting.. Pay attention to what you read.

After you have finished reading it, you will know the reason it was sent to you.
Here goes:

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a Godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME

relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to
have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to
use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life. . . . . .

. . . . . . whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Send this to every friend that you have on-line, including the person who sent it to you.

0 Replies - you may need to work on your ‘people skills’
2 Replies - you are nice but probably need to be more outgoing
4 Replies - you have picked your friends well!
6 Replies - you are downright popular
8 Replies or More - you are totally awesome
(and that’s probably why you’re on MY list)

I wonder what mine will be.

Gratitude is not a Platitude

by Jim Bouchard

To succeed you’ve got to have the “attitude of gratitude.” Big deal! Law of Attraction? Laws are broken every minute. But, if you don’t practice gratitude you won’t attract the wealth you deserve; really? What about greedy pigs who take what they want with no appreciation for where it came from. Do we really need to waste time on examples?

I do believe the Law of Attraction works and I do believe that Gratitude is an essential part of the formula for authentic success in life and business. This is because I know that true success is a product of abundance in 3 key areas of life: material, emotional and spiritual. Tolerate scarcity in any one of these areas and you will not feel successful.

Gratitude is not, however, an ethereal concept to me. Gratitude is extremely practical and rational. It simply works; here’s how:

Pay attention to what you’ve got right here and right now and you always have an accurate inventory of the resources you have in the present moment. No matter where you’re going from here or what your plans for tomorrow you’ve realistically got to start with the resources you can access in the present.

No matter how few your resources, gratitude gives you a perspective of abundance. Focus on what you don’t have and your perspective is one of constant scarcity. What can you do with what you don’t have? Focus on what you have and work from there; no matter how modest those resources are.

A gratitude practice doesn’t need to be formal, religious or written out in a twelve-step program. Just take a daily look at your life and give some thought to what you have, the people who care about you and the gift of life that connects you to something larger than yourself. I try to start and end my day with this simple exercise. When I do I always start the day from a position of relative abundance and end it with a feeling of appreciation.

I’m not saying you have to be satisfied with your current conditions or circumstances. What I’m saying is that focusing on scarcity always leads to more poverty. Goals and aspirations for improvement can be very powerful motivators. To have the faith necessary to support action you’ve got to have some reasonable expectation of success. That faith comes from knowing that you have access to the resources in body, mind and spirit you need to take at least the first step. Practicing gratitude gives you an inventory of those resources.

My gratitude practice is very simple; I’ll share it here:

Thank you.

Have you said “Thank you” today.
