The Intentional Gratitude Experiment!

I read about this the other day and thought that we should give it a try.

I was randomly floating through the internet when I stumbled upon the idea of Intentional Gratitude. You see Intentional Gratitude is when you are actively appreciative of everything around you. It all stems from the Law of Attraction where, what you think about, you bring about.

So, starting today, I am embarking on the Intentional Gratitude Experiment.  I will be doing this for the entire month of May and for the next 31days and will be posting at least one thing (doesn’t matter how small it is), if not a list for which I am grateful each day.

The point of the Intentional Gratitude Experiment is to focus on  or actively appreciate what is wonderful in my life and the world around me thus bringing more wonderful intentionally into my life.  Doesn’t that sound great?  More wonderful.

You know what would be even better, is for readers of this blog add their own grateful moments of the day in the comment section below each day.  Together by sharing our gratitudes, we can be reminded of other things we should be grateful for.

As Abraham-Hicks always says, “Get tuned in, tapped in,” or, “Rather than being aware of the missing pieces, have a conversation about what’s working,” or “Be what you want to become.”

Gratitude, which has been said by so many teachers (Dyer, Chopra etc), is an energy that attracts more goodness into our lives.

Sounds good?  Great! Let’s make a commitment together now, to post at least one thing we are grateful for a day here on this blog and watch our lives transform.

Create Your 2010 Vision Board

A vision board, also called a dream board, is a collage of words and pictures depicting your dreams and goals usually specific to one aspect of your life. Vision boards have received a lot of acclaim lately because of the world-famous book, “The Secret.” A vision board can set you on a path to achieving dreams and goals that may have previously eluded you. The key to a successful vision board is to post it in a place where you have to look at every day and it can serve as a constant reminder of what you are working toward.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Magazines
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Markers
  • Cardboard or poster board
Step 1
Gather as many magazines as you can that you are comfortable destroying. Go through each magazine looking for pictures and words that are in line with your goals. This is a fun part of the creation of your vision board. Tear out all of the pictures or words that seem relevant and place them in a pile. Keep doing this until you have a very large pile of material to choose from.

Step 2

Take the pictures and words and start laying them out on your poster board or cardboard backing. Discard anything that may no longer fit or does not work. Move things around until they fit well and look right. This is also where you may want to organize your board. For instance, if you are working on your personal goals, you may place images of a house in one corner, money and credit cards in another corner, school or continuing education in another corner and then friends or hobbies in the last corner. Many people organize their boards by themes but there are others who like to place pictures all over the board rather than assigning corners. You may want to consider leaving some space to write words that you were not able to locate in the magazines and leaving a space in the center of the board. Step 3

Step 3

Start gluing and taping. Turn over each picture or word and add glue or tape to secure it in place. Once you have finished getting everything into place, you can use a marker to draw words or images that you feel are important to your vision board.

Step 4

Place your picture in the middle of the board and make certain that it is a picture where you are smiling and happy. This is because your smiling, happy picture will be in the center of all of your dreams and goals.

Step 5

Hang your vision board in a place where you will see it every day. This should be an area in your house where you spend a lot of time or are constantly walking through. Some great locations include the back of your bedroom door, a home office, a refrigerator or a bulletin board. Looking at the board every day will cause you to always be aware of your dreams and goals.

To start my year off right, I am watching The Secret (Extended Edition) while writing my list of grateful things in my life. Have you started yours?

There are a few things I will be doing more of this year, the most important being visualizations.  I truly believe that visualizations help you attract what you want to experience.  One important thing to remember about visualizations is to only focus on the end result of all the experience that you want to have.

So to all my readers, I look forward to sharing more positive thinking power experiences, article and videos with you.  Please comment often and remember to Change Your Frequency!

6 Powerful Law of Attraction Quotes to Help You Change Your Life!

The following law of attraction quotes from the hit movie, “The Secret”, focus on your thoughts and feelings. If you study these law of attraction quotes and start applying them to your life, you will begin to experience magic in your life like you never imagined!

December 4, 2009 ( PowerHomeBiz.com ) - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the law of attraction is working in your life. It doesn’t even matter whether you are aware of it or not, or if you want it to or not – it never stops. This is why it is so important to learn how to control your thoughts and feelings so you attract positive things into your life. The following law of attraction quotes from the hit movie, “The Secret”, focus on your thoughts and feelings. If you study these law of attraction quotes and start applying them to your life, you will begin to experience magic in your life like you never imagined!

Law of Attraction Quotes 1: “You become and attract what you think.” Your thoughts are far more powerful than you may have ever realized. While this may seem to be a new concept, it’s been around for centuries. The Bible states something very similar, that you are what you think. It’s all about focus. If you focus on negative things, you will attract negative things into your life. If you focus on positive, happy things, the Universe will send happy things your way. You must choose your thoughts carefully. They will determine everything you attract into your life!

Law of Attraction Quotes 2: “People think about what they don’t want and attract more of the same.” If you habitually think about everything you want but don’t have in your life, you will never attract the things you desire. Instead, you just attract more lack. For instance, if you are like many people who often think or say, “I never seem to have enough money”, you will keep attracting “not enough money”. If you don’t want scarcity, then you must stop thinking about what’s scarce in your life.

Law of Attraction Quotes 3: “What you focus on with your thought and feeling is what you attract into your experience.” The best way to begin attracting the things you really desire is to begin changing your thoughts and emotions to reflect those things. The tricky part here is to not think in terms of not having them (as discussed above), but to act and feel as if you had everything you desire right now. That’s how you begin attracting them. The next quote explain this a little more…

Law of Attraction Quotes 4: “The Law of Attraction is simply figuring out for yourself what will generate the positive feelings of having what you want now.” What you feel most of the time plays a key role in what you attract. So, if happy, joyful, grateful emotions dominate your life, positive things will come your way. One of the best ways to create positive feelings is to imagine already living the life of your dreams. Really get into the feelings of having that life…the more you feel those positive feelings now, the more quickly you will attract that life. To put it another way, you must believe it (and feel it) to see it!

Law of Attraction Quotes 5: “Happy feelings will attract more happy circumstances.” It is so very important that you find ways to shift your feelings so they are more positive. The more things you can feel joyful, happy, and grateful about, the more you will attract positive, wonderful things.

Law of Attraction Quotes 6: “What we think about and THANK about is what we bring about.” Gratitude is really important when it comes to making the law of attraction work in your life. No matter what is currently going on in your life today, there is always something for which you can be thankful. Once you start focusing on gratitude, you will be amazed how much you will find that you can “thank about”. Do this, and your life will change dramatically!

Hopefully you are beginning to see the wisdom and power in these famous law of attraction quotes. Write them down, memorize them, and review these law of attraction quotes several times a day. As you do this, begin shifting your thoughts and feelings to those which will allow you to attract the things you truly desire!

Your heart’s desire

by Karen Linsley

What is your heart’s desire?

The law of attraction says that we can have that which we seek, we need only think positively and it is ours! Well, it’s not quite that simple. Thinking positively helps, of course, but action is involved, as is gratitude and setting the intention. There’s a metaphor that periodically makes the rounds: if you sit in a closet praying for a hot dog, God will not shove it though the key hole for you. You must get out of the closet and go to the store and buy the hotdogs! So, what’s involved?

Self exploration: you must be aware of your wants and your needs, you must be aware of your body’s needs. So if we take the hot dog metaphor as an example, you would be paying attention to your body and acknowledging it when it says, “I’m hungry.” Then you must do a bit more self exploration to find out what you are hungry for.

Intention: once you decide what you want, then you have to figure out how to get it. In the case of a hot dog, you simply need to get yourself to the store and buy them.

Believe it or not, there is no big or small. Getting a hot dog is just as easy as curing cancer or winning the lottery, as far as the Universe is concerned. So where does prayer, affirmations and gratitude come into all of this?

Let’s look at the definition of prayer: if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you might remember that around here the classic definition of prayer doesn’t cut it. None of this beseeching to an outside entity! Instead, prayer is more of a knowing, a connection with the Force within, an acknowledging of that which is already true.

Gratitude is a very powerful tool. It changes the very nature of our being, our energy vibrates at a higher level when we are able to acknowedge gratitude in our lives. And with that higer vibration comes more of the same. This is basic law of attraction stuff.

Setting your intention is also powerful. Once you set your intention, then you must be willing to take the action. Do what needs to be done to achieve your heart’s desire. Write down your plan of action, then stick with it.

You can achieve your heart’s desire. It takes a combination of inner work: connecting with the Force within and practicing an attitude of gratitude, then setting your intention and taking action.

Now I’m going to add another element: the state of wanting something simply creates more wanting. We always get what we want. Always. There are never some requests that are granted and some that aren’t. We always get what we want. We are much more powerful than we sometimes acknowledge. So if you are wanting something, guess what? You’ll get more of that which you are thinking about every day. When you say things such as “when I find the perfect relationship I’ll be ok” or “I want a relationship, then I’ll feel ok,” guess what? You are affirming the wanting of a relationship. Instead, know that your relationship with yourself and with whateveryouwanttocallgod is perfect. Know that you are ok, right here and right now. Love yourself, and then the perfect relationship will come to you.

Do not state your affirmations and intentions in the negative. The Universe does not understand that. If you say, I don’t want this sickness anymore, all the Universe knows is that you are reaffirming sickness. Instead, be grateful for the things in your body that work perfectly. Acknowledge the good that is in your life, and create more of that. Soon the illness will be gone.

Working together with the Light within you, yes, you already have your heart’s desire!

Pre-pave your day with positive energy

October 1, 2009 by admin

Having a bad day? Think positive, says author Elisabeth Fayt.

Most people spend more time worrying about what to wear in the morning, she says, than they spend thinking about what they want to accomplish.

But a happy, successful life is within reach; you just have to plan for it.

“Decide what you want,” she says.

“Prepare it. Seal the deal with gratitude. Let it go.”

Those simple changes — thinking positive, giving thanks — are enough to align the universe in your favour, Fayt says.

“Nothing can come to us until we are grateful for what we have.” Fayt knows a thing or two about achievement and the law of attraction. She’s an internationally respected motivational speaker, author and the founder of RNR Wellness, a successful national chain of spas that focus on in-room hotel service. She recently released her first book, Paving It Forward: 120 Pre-Paves That Will Put You in the Passing Lane (Spirit Seekers Publishing, spiritseekerspublishing.com,$19.95), a guide for “consciously choosing how you want to look, live and feel through every part of your day and every part of your life.” (She also offers a deck of cards with the book’s teachings in a condensed form.) The concept of “paving” and “preparing” is the idea of proactively planning one’s day — how you’ll feel, what will happen — before the day’s activities literally unfold, says Fayt, who appeared in the documentary, The Opus, a film about how to manifest change in one’s life.

Fayt, 45, says she prepares her entire day before she even opens her eyes in the morning.

“As I get in the car, I prepare safety,” she says.

“When I go on a date with my husband, I prepare that we will have a wonderful time.”

Hard to believe it’s so easy? It shouldn’t be, says Fayt, especially if you’re one of those people — and there are many of us — who wake up at precisely the same time every day, before our alarm goes off.

“The fact that we can wake our bodies at a certain time every day is living proof that we can control our subconscious minds,” she says.

“Just as you can stop biting your nails, you can stop negative thoughts.”

Fayt has been interested in the power of prayer and spirituality since she was a small child growing up in Waterloo, Ont. Part of a devout Catholic family, she went to church every day and considered becoming a nun. (She gave her first motivational speech in church at the age of eight.) She completed a degree in psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, and then was drawn toward the knowledge of Indian mystics, in particular the work of Paramahansa Yogananda, a man who she describes as her spiritual teacher.

“That gave me the background, the philosophy that our thoughts create our reality,” she says.

She spent several years in India, but returned to Canada when she realized her life was meant to be about serving others.

These days, that means speaking at retreats and seminars around the world — often with her family in tow.

“I go where people need me,” she says.

Following that spirit, however, is what has made her so successful, she says. And now she wants to pass on what she has learned to others.

“Every dream I have ever had has come true,” she says. “And everyone can have that.”

Abraham: Appreciation vs. Gratitude - Esther & Jerry Hicks

Notes on the questions, ‘What is appreciation really?’

  1. Reaching for thoughts that feel better until you reach into a state of appreciation is your purpose.
  2. Appreciation feels like the feeling of being in love.
  3. Love and appreciation are identical vibrations. It’s the vibration of alignment of who you really are. It’s the absence of resistance, the absence of doubt. fear, self denial and hatred of others. It is the absence of everything that feels bad and the presence of everything that feels good.
  4. Difference between gratitude and appreciation. Gratitude you are looking at a struggle you have overcome and feeling grateful that you are no longer in the struggle. Appreciation is vibrational alignment with whom I have become. Appreciation is seeing whatever you are looking at through the eyes of source.
  5. The state of appreciation is the state of godliness.
  6. Go downstream to the next stage of feeling ie. If you are in despair follow your revenge, if you are in revenge follow hatred, if you are in hatred follow you anger, if you are in anger follow your frustration, if you are in frustration follow your hope.  When you reach hope you are now in the vicinity of appreciation.
  7. When you get into the vibration of hope, now begin making list of things that you feel good about. Make list of positive things, things you love and never complain about anything. eg to to a restarant and look for the things you like. Even if there was only one thing you like give it your undivided attention of positivity. Use it as an excuse to tune into who you are.
  8. Give yourself a break, lighten up, be easy on yourself and others, look for things to love and appreciate.

Enjoy!

Jack Canfield’s Daily Disciplines for Effortless Success

June 4, 2009 by cyf

Jack Canfield one of the speakers on the secret is sharing his top 6 Daily Disciplines for Effortless Success. He suggests that you must first write down and talk about what you do want, not what you don’t want, be as specific as possible and once you have clarified what you want, do the following each and every day.

Here’s his top 6 daily rituals:

  1. Morning Intention, Visualization and Releasing: When you wake up in the morning, take a few minutes to focus your mind on your desires, goals and intentions. Close your eyes and visualize your desires and goals as already being achieved.
  2. Use External Images to Keep you Focused on Your Desires and Goals: To keep yourself focused on what you want to manifest, surrounding yourself with visual images of the things and experiences you want to create in your life. You can use a vision board or book to keep your pictures. Add words to create a bigger impact. While looking at the words and pictures, say to yourself “This is mine now! This is who I am!”
  3. Think a Better Feeling Thought: Notice the times you have emotional responses throughout the day which are not aligned with your desired manifestations. You must remember that it is your feelings that are manifesting your current circumstances. By changing your frequency through your thoughts, you are changing your vibrations. You must become a vibrational match for all the experiences you want to attract in your life.Focus on thoughts that cause you to feel joy. i.e. friends, pets, vacation spots, family as well as the actions you do when with them.
  4. Have an Attitude of Gratitude It is critical to take time each and every day to focus on what you are grateful for! This can be done either in the morning after your visualization or in the evening before bed. Focus on all of the things in your life - most of which you know you take for granted that you are grateful for i.e. your health, your children, your job, the nice weather, electricity, running water, a nice stereo system, your flower garden, your pets, your friends. You will always have things to be grateful for and the more you focus on what you are grateful for the more you will attract things to be grateful for. This is a good time to have a gratitude journal.
  5. Take Action Canfield says that there are two type of actions: obvious and inspired. Obvious actions are things like if you want a new car, you’ll test drive the ones you like then choose the care you want while saving money for the car. The other is inspired actions, where when you begin your obvious actions, the universe will start responding by sending people, resources and opportunities you need to manifest your desired result. You are going to find that you have inspired ideas; you must act on them. You must follow those gentle proddings from the universe. Often these intuitive impulses will have no seeming connection to achieving your goal, but if you follow them, they will lead you down a path of wonderful fulfillment. Canfield also says that if you are experiencing joy while doing your action, then you are on the correct path for your internal guidance system is like a car’s GPS system.
  6. Acknowledge That it’s Working When you start noticing things changing for the better, acknowledge that your manifestation is happening. Enjoy it. “When you find the perfect parking space, acknowledge it. When you get the table you want in the restaurant, acknowledge it. When you receive unexpected income, acknowledge it. When you meet someone who can help you achieve your goal, acknowledge that Law of Attraction is working. The more you acknowledge that it’s working, the more it will work. It’s that simple.”“If you are attracting things into your life that you don’t want, remember that the Law of Attraction is still working. Instead of thinking or saying, “It’s not working,” ask your self, “What am I focusing on, thinking about, talking about, feeling or doing that is bringing this into my life?””It’s easy to know what thought you are focusing on because they are being produced in your life. Change those result by changing your frequency or vibration, thoughts and feelings.

“When you make a commitment to take these actions each day, you’ll start to move forward, with confidence, in the direction of your dreams. Believe that they are not only possible, but that they are already in progress.”

Gratitude is like Karma and Attitude

Gratitude is like karma and so to attitude, essential parts of the formula for authentic success. What you give out comes back to you. Today, I was instrumental in the process of someone getting a dream job in an organization. I was always grateful when she worked with me. Today, I got from her the gratitude of, “thank you so much”. My gratitude of thank you came back to me when she told me, “thank you”. Gratitude is like karma and so to is your attitude. While working with me, she extended a positive attitude. Gratitude of thanks has not only been further extended to me now, as she achieves her new position, but gratitude has come full circle like karma, back to her through her gratitude and positive attitude. Gratitude is therefore like karma and so to her positive attitude for getting a perfect job.

Gratitude is like karma and so to is attitude. They all come back full circle. Therefore, extending gratitude and positive attitude are like good karma and  will only bring authentic success.
