December 4, 2009 ( PowerHomeBiz.com ) - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the law of attraction is working in your life. It doesn’t even matter whether you are aware of it or not, or if you want it to or not – it never stops. This is why it is so important to learn how to control your thoughts and feelings so you attract positive things into your life. The following law of attraction quotes from the hit movie, “The Secret”, focus on your thoughts and feelings. If you study these law of attraction quotes and start applying them to your life, you will begin to experience magic in your life like you never imagined!
Law of Attraction Quotes 1: “You become and attract what you think.” Your thoughts are far more powerful than you may have ever realized. While this may seem to be a new concept, it’s been around for centuries. The Bible states something very similar, that you are what you think. It’s all about focus. If you focus on negative things, you will attract negative things into your life. If you focus on positive, happy things, the Universe will send happy things your way. You must choose your thoughts carefully. They will determine everything you attract into your life!
Law of Attraction Quotes 2: “People think about what they don’t want and attract more of the same.” If you habitually think about everything you want but don’t have in your life, you will never attract the things you desire. Instead, you just attract more lack. For instance, if you are like many people who often think or say, “I never seem to have enough money”, you will keep attracting “not enough money”. If you don’t want scarcity, then you must stop thinking about what’s scarce in your life.
Law of Attraction Quotes 3: “What you focus on with your thought and feeling is what you attract into your experience.” The best way to begin attracting the things you really desire is to begin changing your thoughts and emotions to reflect those things. The tricky part here is to not think in terms of not having them (as discussed above), but to act and feel as if you had everything you desire right now. That’s how you begin attracting them. The next quote explain this a little more…
Law of Attraction Quotes 4: “The Law of Attraction is simply figuring out for yourself what will generate the positive feelings of having what you want now.” What you feel most of the time plays a key role in what you attract. So, if happy, joyful, grateful emotions dominate your life, positive things will come your way. One of the best ways to create positive feelings is to imagine already living the life of your dreams. Really get into the feelings of having that life…the more you feel those positive feelings now, the more quickly you will attract that life. To put it another way, you must believe it (and feel it) to see it!
Law of Attraction Quotes 5: “Happy feelings will attract more happy circumstances.” It is so very important that you find ways to shift your feelings so they are more positive. The more things you can feel joyful, happy, and grateful about, the more you will attract positive, wonderful things.
Law of Attraction Quotes 6: “What we think about and THANK about is what we bring about.” Gratitude is really important when it comes to making the law of attraction work in your life. No matter what is currently going on in your life today, there is always something for which you can be thankful. Once you start focusing on gratitude, you will be amazed how much you will find that you can “thank about”. Do this, and your life will change dramatically!
Hopefully you are beginning to see the wisdom and power in these famous law of attraction quotes. Write them down, memorize them, and review these law of attraction quotes several times a day. As you do this, begin shifting your thoughts and feelings to those which will allow you to attract the things you truly desire!

How Buddhism can help blacks

Buddhism in America is on an upswing. A 2008 Pew poll estimated that there are 1.6 million Buddhists in America. The Dalai Lama’s face is instantly recognizable and several of his books, with titles such as Becoming Enlightened, have been bestsellers. Mainstream Western doctors and monks alike acclaim the benefits of meditation, the cornerstone of most forms of Buddhism. I see some connections between the Buddhist philosophies and black culture and have been keen to explore what Buddhism offers to black people.
What drew me to Buddhism was one powerful word: suffering. All over Buddhist literature there are acknowledgements that human existence is suffering. Suffering, according to Buddhism, is a fact of daily life. It’s not only the big losses - like the loss of a person - that affect us, it’s the small things, such as being cut in line or being chastised by a supervisor. Suffering occurs because of our attachment to the ‘phenomenal world’ - everything from our favorite songs, magazines, books, hairstyles, shoes, to our most cherished beliefs, attitudes and opinions. Buddhism teaches that it’s only when we rid ourselves of these attachments that we can truly be at peace.
Buddhism’s frank acceptance of the existence of suffering resonates with the black experience. Choyin Rangdrol, one of the few African-American teachers of Buddhism, said in an interview, “When I discovered that it was possible to avoid becoming ensnared in the mentality of an angry black man by applying Buddhism, I felt I had found a great treasure not just for me but also for my people.”
Author Alice Walker echoes Rangdrol’s thoughts. In The Best Buddhist Writing of 2007, she relates a typically horrific anecdote from the 19th century about the son of a black woman and white farmer who was shot by his father and a group of white men for riding a horse that was “too fine.” Walker explains that the typical Buddhist reaction is to offer compassion to every one involved, rather than taking the familiar way out which is to punish the perpetrators of the crime.
Buddhism doesn’t just speak to healing from history. It can ease the pain of those suffering right now. The reluctance of Buddhism to demonize criminals makes it a natural fit for prisoner conversion. It is well known that many blacks find God and Allah in prison. Many also find Buddha.
Jay Jarvis Masters is a black Buddhist on death row. He has been featured in O Magazine and has written two books entitled Finding Freedom: Writings from Death Row and That Bird Has Wings: The Autobiography of an Innocent Man. He believes that Buddhism can speak to those trapped behind bars. “A lot of people in [prison] are coming around,” he is quoted as saying. “They don’t see Buddhism as a religion; they see it as a kind of meditation, or relaxation. A lot of prisoners have been on death row for a long time now. They are restless. They want to learn patience. They want to learn to sit with their thoughts, or better yet, without them. There’s an absolute need for some kind of spiritual life.”
One doesn’t have to be behind bars to benefit from Buddhism. One of the most famous black Buddhists, Tina Turner, practices a brand of Buddhism called Soka Gakkai. Soka Gakkai, which does not promote meditation, has been viewed skeptically by other Buddhist sects. It rests largely on the chanting made famous by Angela Bassett in What’s Love Got To Do With It? Chanting is said to reward through the law of attraction. So you can chant for a new car, a new house and so forth. Tina Turner, however, used it to escape from a physically abusive marriage. Jazz musician Herbie Hancock is another noted Soka Gakkai practicioner and says that chanting inspires him.
Almost all forms of Buddhism prize meditation as a response to dealing with emotions no matter how justified they seem. It asks us to consider that everyone who reacts in anger feels that his or her anger is justified. When you sit and meditate, you begin to perceive the transience and ephemeral nature of your thoughts and emotions. You realize that you don’t have to follow them.
In this day and age, ideas, thoughts, religions, and even emotions, flash ever more rapidly across the globe through the Internet. Bombarded by stimulation from the outside and our own reactions from the inside, we may feel overwhelmed. Buddhism invites all people to take a break from those feelings and to discover calmness within. There is much that black people can gain from Buddhism.

You are the creative principle

The law of attraction is a popular term used to describe something far deeper than what appears on the surface. If you scratch beyond surface of the teachings of law of attraction you will find what’s really being discussed is the creative principle, that energy and power which is used to draw into physical experience. Shamans and spiritual healers have known for centuries that our lives are the results of all the thoughts and feelings combined with experiences over the lifetime of each unique human being.
The holy books teach us that we’re all created in the image and likeness of GOD. Most people truly do not understand a statement. Being created in the image and likeness of GOD means you’re being endowed with the same creative power to call into being simply by putting your focus on what you would like to experience combined with passion. This is not a state that you have to work towards, it is who and what you are. It is your natural state to be a powerful creator. You do it automatically and have been doing it since birth.
Who you are right now is the result of all feelings and experiences you’ve had in your life. If you continue to think as you have to this point, then you will continue to create very similar experience for yourself. You believe yourself and your life to be a certain way therefore it is.
Let’s take the word belief and describe what it really means. To believe something is to firmly hold onto an idea or experience as something unwavering and real. Whatever it is that you choose to believe you will hold onto with all the strength available to you rather than letting go and thinking anything different.
Where you stand in believing is the point from where you create everything you experience. It is a circle of power you’ve drawn around yourself , and the energy with which new creating is formed based on those very beliefs. Beliefs are very strongly held thoughts , habits of thinking and expecting based on years of experience,it is both a physical and mental exercise. One set of beliefs is no less a real than another set of beliefs. This planet is filled with millions of people each holding a slightly different belief. Each person interacts with their beliefs from their personal experience with them. In this regard all beliefs are personal.
Your personal beliefs are the vantage point from which you create and attract new or similar experiences to interact with. Most people are so steeped in their personal belief about how life is that they put their life on automatic and experiences play over and over again as though they had no control of what is happening to them. As a powerful creator whatever you are holding in your heart, by way of a strong and passionate feeling you will continue to draw to yourself repeatedly. Only by letting go of the present thoughts that you are giving all your attention to and allowing new thoughts and feelings to replace, will you attract anything different into your life. If you will understand that your belief system; the series of things that you hold tightly as true or ground zero within your creative process;are the creative factor, you can then begin releasing expectations which do not serve you.
Most people do not see themselves as a powerful creative energy force, rather they see themselves as victims of life , victim of circumstance. The vision that you hold of yourself is the place from which you will continue to create. The circumstances you now find yourself in are a perfect reflection of how you truly do believe yourself to be. It can be no other way, what is outside of you is a perfect reflection of who you believe yourself to be and what you to believe life to be. The law of attraction or creative principle, can do nothing but to create in your image. Just as you were created in the image and likeness of the creator, as a creator you can only create in the image and likeness of yourself. Changing your self image into the person you wish to experience yourself to be is the secret to changing your life.
There are many tools that you can use to change your belief of who you are. These include meditation, vision boards, affirmations, scripting, as well as energy work with a spiritual healer. Through sitting quietly and allowing your imagination to take you into the place that you wish to experience you can begin shifting your belief of who you are. Start daily with only five to fifteen minutes a day and quietly focus on seeing yourself interacting as a person you desire to be. Use a vision board to help remind you throughout the day. A cork board on which you place pictures of things you would like to experience as well as statements that remind you of your goals will be beneficial as well.
Scripting is the process of writing your life as though it is presently happening exactly the way you wish to experience it. Begin keeping a journal and add to it each day experiences would like to have as though you were presently having them. This process will elevate your vibration and keep your feelings in line with what you wish to experience.
Energy work with a spiritual healer can help you bring into alignment the present in the past. Oftentimes understanding the link between your past and present day will help you to release that energy connection. Very often people have such deep emotional connections to their past that they are not aware of just how powerful these attachments are in preventing them to consistently make different choices for their lives. An energy healer will be able to guide you through a cleansing process and a realignment of your chakras.
Changing who you see yourself to be and altering your beliefs about life is a process. Altering the habits with which you have unconsciously been creating your life will take consistent action on your part. Although it may feel difficult and challenging at times if you will maintain a burning desire to experience life differently you will stay the course and change will be inevitable. You are the power to create what ever you wish to experience, you have only to decide who you are and what you want to interact with. Once this decision is clear in your mind as outlined above through consistent practice, your reward will be brand new experiences.
